The brother of Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur attempted suicide in south-east Delhi today alleging that he was “harassed” by investigating agencies.
Sadhvi Pragya is prime accused in the so-called ‘Hindu’, or ‘Saffron’ terror-tagged terrorist activities against the minority community.
Ananth Brahmachari consumed poison and was found unconscious in Jangpura locality this afternoon, police sources said.
He was rushed to AIIMS where he is undergoing treatment, they said.
Central investigating agencies are pursuing the matter in which many top leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) have been accused of fomenting terrorism.
The case has vertically divided the Indian political spectrum with the Congress-led ruling coalition saying the ‘Sangh parivar’ was behind these activities.
