The police have arrested nine militants who ran two modules that they said instigated youths to indulge in stone-throwing the Kashmir Valley and were responsible for grenade attacks in south Kashmir.
“These [modules] were instigating, motivating and funding youths to indulge in stone-throwing. There is a clear link between militant groups and the recent law and order situation in the Valley,” DIG Shafqat A Watali told reporters here.
Nine grenades, 35 kg of explosives, a pistol with a magazine and 11 rounds, four combat uniforms and two IEDs fitted in a pressure cooker were recovered from them. — PTI
